As of 1 January 2019, Raue LLP strengthens its healthcare practice with the arrival of Dr. Katharina Wodarz as equity partner. Dr. Wodarz previously worked for McDermott Will & Emery in Munich as a partner in health law.
Dr. Wodarz advises healthcare providers and investors on regulatory issues and contract drafting. Her clients include pharmaceutical companies, doctors and hospitals, medical laboratories, pharmacies as well as operators of nursing homes and rehabilitation clinics. Dr. Wodarz advises her clients on regulatory aspects of healthcare transactions, on the introduction of innovative business models and on compliance aspects of health law. A further focus of her practice is the litigation before authorities and courts, in particular administrative and social courts, as well as arbitration tribunals.
Dr. Wodarz explains the reasons for her move to Raue: “Working at Raue enables me to further expand my advisory practice in my core areas because I can exploit synergies in both public law and transaction law. I look forward to shaping the growth of the healthcare practice in this way”.

Dr. Katharina Wodarz studied law at the Universities of Constance, Cologne and Würzburg. She worked for Hengeler Mueller from 2003 to 2016 before joining McDermott Will & Emery’s healthcare practice in Munich in 2016. Dr. Wodarz has long-standing relationships with institutions in the healthcare sector. She is a member of the board of the German Society of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and of the advisory board of the Medical Law Institute (IMR) of the Bucerius Law School and of the Medical Law Committee of the German Bar Association. Dr. Wodarz is an author of numerous publications and lectures regularly on health law topics. She is recommended by the leading publications JUVE, Chambers and Legal 500 and ranked by Best Lawyers 2019 and the Handelsblatt as one of the leading advisors in health law.
After Dr. Michael Bergmann joined the firm in September 2018, Dr. Wodarz is the second lateral partner at Raue LLP.
