Iqony Fernwärme GmbH, which is part of the Steag Iqony Group (a portfolio company of Asterion Industrial Partners), has signed an agreement to acquire Uniper Wärme GmbH from Uniper SE. This important strategic step further strengthens the Steag Iqony Group’s position as a leading provider of climate-friendly heating in Germany. For Uniper, the sale is a condition of compliance with EU state aid rules.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Raue provided Iqony Fernwärme GmbH with legal advice and support on property law, concessions, contracts, IP/IT, and data protection law, alongside Hengeler Mueller (lead, corporate/M&A) and CMS (employment law).
