Raue comprehensively advised the German Urban Air Mobility (UAM) provider Volocopter GmbH on a second closing of its Series C-funding round to a total of 87 million euros. The second closing was led by the global logistics service provider DB Schenker as new investor.
Besides DB Schenker, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group, MS&AD Ventures and TransLink Capital (Japan Airlines and Sompo Japan Insurance) also joined the round as new investors. Existing investors Lukasz Gadowski and btov also participated in the second closing. The funding will go towards the certification of the VoloCity, but also to hire additional industry experts and a second generation of the freight version VoloDrone.
Raue again advised Volocopter on the second closing of the Series C-financing and the corporate and regulatory aspects of the project.
