Raue LLP defends the Federal States of Hesse and Bavaria against damage claims brought by E.ON and RWE against these Federal States with regard to the temporary shut-down of nuclear power plants in the spring of 2011 after the Fukushima nuclear disaster (Biblis A and B and Isar 1).
E.ON brought claims damages amounting to 380 million euros against the Federal Republic of Germany and the Federal States of Bavaria and Lower Saxony at the District Court of Hanover. RWE brought claims against the Federal Republic of Germany and the Federal State of Hesse for damages to the amount of 235 million euros at the District Court of Essen.
