Iqony Fernwärme GmbH, a company of the Steag Iqony Group (a portfolio company of Asterion Industrial Partners), has reached an agreement with Uniper SE to acquire Uniper Wärme GmbH. This important strategic milestone will allow the Steag Iqony Group to strengthen its position as a leading provider of climate-friendly heat in Germany. For Uniper, the sale is part of the conditions that the company must fulfil in order to comply with EU state aid law.
The transaction is still subject to the standard market closing conditions. In addition to Hengeler Mueller (lead, Corporate/M&A) and CMS (Labour Law), Raue provided legal advice to Iqony Fernwärme GmbH on real estate matters, concessions, contracts, IP/IT and data protection.
