Raue advised LOOKSfilm on the production of the four-part Netflix original series DIG DEEPER: THE DISAPPEARANCE OF BIRGIT MEIER
The documentary series tells the true story of the crime against Birgit Meier, who disappeared without a trace in August 1989. After the case remained unsolved for decades, her brother, the former head of the Hamburg State Criminal Police Office Wolfgang Sielaff, puts together a team of former companions and retired investigators who privately reopen the case and ultimately ensure that it is solved 30 years later. In the documentary series, witnesses, relatives, former investigators and victims who have never before spoken out about the Birgit Meier case have their say.
Raue comprehensively advised LOOKSfilm on copyright and personal rights issues in connection with the filming of the contemporary historical material using unpublished archive material. The series has been available on Netflix since the end of November 2021.
