As of 1 May 2017 Prof. Dr. Jan Hegemann is the new managing partner of Raue LLP. The partners elected him as the successor of Prof. Dr. Andreas Nelle who took office for three years.
Jan Hegemann mainly advises publishers and media companies on press, copyright and publishing law. He is one of the best-known German lawyers in this field and is regularly involved in landmark procedures and matters. Jan Hegemann has been an honorary professor at the Freie Universität Berlin since 2006 and publishes regularly on press and copyright issues, including the Munich Handbook on Copyright Law.
The management board of the law firm is elected by the partnership and comprises eight sectors. As of 1 May the partners Dr. Justus Schmidt-Ott (Recruiting), Dr. Stephan Bernhard Koch (International Network) and Dr. Robert Heine (IT/Digital) were newly elected to the management. Dr. Wolfram Hertel now assumes responsibility for Finances. Judith Heyn (Human Resources), Dr. Bettina Tugendreich (Advanced Training) and Dr. Bernd Beckmann (Marketing) remain responsible for their departments.
