Dr. Michael Bergmann joined Raue LLP as an equity partner on 1 September. Dr. Bergmann previously practiced at Noerr LLP as a partner specialized in antitrust and telecommunications law. At Raue LLP, he will strengthen the antitrust and regulated industries practices.
Dr. Michael Bergmann has extensive experience in advising and representing national and international companies and public corporations in all areas of German and European antitrust law, including merger control, fine and abuse proceedings, compliance issues, and antitrust damage claims. While at Noerr, he represented Deutsche Telekom in the merger control proceedings relating to the acquisition of GTS Central Europe and was also a member of the team advising DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH on the Federal Cartel Office’s review of the media rights tender proceedings regarding the Bundesliga football matches. He currently represents an international manufacturer of engineered wood, which he initially advised on fine proceedings, in several antitrust damage compensation proceedings. Another focus of his work is regulatory telecommunications law. Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers in Germany 2019 ranks Dr. Bergmann among the leading attorneys for telecommunications law in Germany.

Dr. Michael Bergmann studied law at Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Before joining Noerr, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Energy and Competition Law in the Municipal Economy (EWeRK) in Berlin. Dr. Bergmann regularly publishes and lectures on issues of antitrust and antitrust damages law as well as on regulatory aspects of telecommunications law.
