Raue LLP Advises Challengeme Esports on its US Acquisition and Investment by Australian eSports Mogul

Raue LLP has advised German eSport tournament and matchmaking platform provider Challengeme Esports GmbH on its acquisition of US-based platform provider eSports Hero Inc. The shareholders of eSports Hero, amongst them Australian eSports Mogul, will become shareholders of Challengeme Esports. Concurrent with the acquisition, eSports Mogul will make a further strategic investment in Challengeme Esports. In addition, eSports Mogul will provide significant marketing support as part of a multi-year licensing agreement between the parties for the APAC region.

Challengeme Esports provides an eSports tournament and matchmaking platform, which caters to all eSports players, including competitive and even pro gamers, as well as professional streamers. ChallengeMe.GG offers both 1v1 as well as team-based games, support for online and “live” tournaments, automatic skill-based matchmaking and much more. Since the open beta launch in March 2016 almost half a million users have registered and played in excess of 2.4 million matches.

eSports Hero is a skilled gaming platform where gamers of all skills levels can compete for cash prizes and glory playing the top global eSports such as Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft and Dota 2. eSports Mogul is an ASX listed (ASX ESH) eSports media company. Its core business is to provide a fully integrated, market leading eSports-focused online media platform, called ESM Media Hub.

The acquisition will deliver a global eSports player positioned to grow its user base rapidly to and become a dominant global eSport tournament and matchmaking platform.
