B2B marketplace “Wer liefert was” gets a new investor. Swiss holding company Capvis together with the existing “Wer liefert was” management is acquiring the company from the previous majority owner Paragon Partners. The transaction is still subject to antitrust approvals and other customary conditions. Raue LLP has advised Paragon Partners on the transaction.
“Wer liefert was” is an online marketplace and provides millions of products and services in the B2B section. “Wer liefert was” has its headquarters in Hamburg and 200 employees. The company was founded in 1932 and was the first publisher of printed reference material for commercial buyers. Since 1995 “Wer liefert was” has been offering its services online.
Paragon Partners, founded in 2004, is an independent private equity company managing 650 million euro of assets. Paragon Partners invests in mid-sized companies with a proven business model and sustainable value creation potential. Raue LLP has been advising Paragon Partners for many years and was already Paragon Partner’s advisor on the acquisition of “Wer liefert was” in February 2012.
