Raue LLP has advised the shareholders of Böhlau, a scientific publishing house based in Vienna, Cologne and Weimar, on its combination with scientific publisher Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht (V&R). As of 1 January 2017, Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht is taking over all of the shares in the Böhlau companies. Common purpose is to preserve the independence from large corporations in the publishing industry. Both sides have agreed to maintain confidentiality regarding the purchase price.
